Beach
I took the guys to the beach this morning ... I’m not sure Reggie really liked it that much, he just followed me closely and hid from the big dogs that came up
I’m sure after a few more goes, he’d settle into it, but this time he was a little freaked out.
It was kind of fun walking 3 dogs though ... even though they kept getting tangled up, and Reggie likes to trail, while Brutus and Buddy like to forge on ahead ... when walking two of them, I get a lot of nice comments and people stopping. 3 of them I got even more ... everyone wanted to see them, everyone wanted to know if they were brothers, it was quite funny.
Homeward bound…
I’m glad to be on my way home. Details are on my main blog.
Paul had sent me these pictures this morning. First, it’s the boys on the beach…
The second is a result of Buddy teaching Reggie how to be the center of attention. He never did this before, so I blame it on Buddy.
I can’t wait to get home and see my boys.

First Greenie
Reggie likes greenies, but he is a slow eater, so Brutus stole the last of it
He’s settling in more and more every day. Right now, he’s curled up on Beth in bed, with Brutus and Buddy piled on top. They all seem quite happy! Buddy has stopped pestering him so much.
He definitely needs to have his breathing looked at though, he was playing wiht Buddy last night, they were chasing each other around the house, after a while, Reggie started to have problems getting enough breath, so I called a time out, held Buddy back and let Reggie lay down and catch his breath. I’ve heard of several pugs like this though, so it may be typical for him. Sometimes pugs just play too much!
3 pugs is hard work, but very fun. Walking them by myself is almost impossible, as Reggie has such a different walking pattern to our guys, so this morning when my parents weren’t here, they just got the back yard. Tomorrow if I’m feeling energetic, they may get the beach!

Settling in
Reggie seems to be settling in here. He was much calmer today (and quieter) and seems to be having fun. He’s been playing with Buddy and Brutus, even instigating play. He played with Paul’s dad a lot. Seems he understands human play, and does the biting of the hands (like Buddy does) but gentler. He even picked up a toy and started playing a bit with it. He was really enjoying playing with the cuddly monkey toy. He was ragging it and chasing it, though he doesn’t seem to be able to make it squeak.
Here’s hoping Reggie spends all night curled up against my (Beth’s) legs again. He’s really warm and soft.
First night
Reggies first night at ours was last night ... he spent most of the evening playing and snorting and sniffing things, then we settled down for the night. He took *ages* to settle, pooped on the kitchen floor, scratched doors to try and get out, all sorts. Eventually he did, and he slept in bed with the 4 of us!
This morning he woke up with the rest of us, and joined us on our walk. 3 pugs is an experience! In the end, mum walked him, he was quite nervous at first, but soon settled into it.
Tonight should be much easier on him and us!

Handoff
It’s time for me to hand over das Pug to Paul for a few days while I go to San Diego. I hope you’ll get to see some pictures while I’m away.

Reggie Pictures
The first few are when we were packing up in Providence.
Don’t forget to take me!
Can I go too?
Who owns who here?
Reggie has been a lot of fun since we’ve moved. Here are a few in Boston.
Where are my toys in all this mess?
Where did my greenies go?
Alone
I was away all afternoon and my poor litter puggernaut was left by himself. He did well, not peeing on the floor once. Then again, it’s hard to find the floor at the moment. Tomorrow, it will be the same thing while I’m at work. Since we have stuff going on, I wont’ be able to come home at lunch time.
Until I came along, he had never worn a harness. He was a total apartment pug, only leaving the apartment to go to the vet. So now, we walk at least once a day. This means he has to wear a harness. It must not be very comfortable because he does all of these funny moves, trying to rub his back. As soon as I take the harness off, he’s fine.
I do love this pooch.
Pugoween
Reggie and I are going to the north shore tomorrow so he can meet Buddy and Brutus. He’s going to be staying with them while I go to San Diego. I’m looking forward to this. The more pugs, the more fun.
I feel better about my trip, too. I’ll be able to relax, knowing that he’s in good hands of good friends and playing with good pugs.

Rough Day
Reggie had a rough day with our move. But almost everything is moved, so we’re doing fine. The two of us went for a walk earlier today, and he did all of his business outside. In fact, he’s only gone on his puppy pads once since then. I’m thinking he might take to going inside much more quickly than I had thought.
I’m a little concerned about my trip to San Diego. I was goin to ask Beth and Paul to keep him, but they’re still in Cancun from what I understand. They were trapped due to Wilma. I hate to leave him in a kennel. There are enough people on PugVillage who understand the needs of pugs who are in the Boston area who might be willing to lend a hand if necessary.
Like Brutus
Reggie and I went for a walk, and he acts just like Brutus when he walks. Now that he’s getting out of the house more, he is discovering some of those pug instincts. One of those is wanting to mark every tree, fire hydrant, and pile of leaves he encounters. He’s also starting to poop outside more instead of doing it on the puppy pads. This makes me very happy.
This morning, we were in the car, and he was a nutcase. I’m not sure what it was, but it sure seemed like anxiety. I’ll be glad when that passes.

Pet stores
Someone on PugVillage.com just pointed out something to me. I’ve taken Reggie to a pet store every day since I’ve had him. Well, we haven’t gone to one today--at least not yet.
New Vet
We’re off to see the vet on November 9. Hopefully a couple of weeks after that, the little guy will lose a couple of boy parts. He hasn’t been neutered yet, and we need to fix that. He has this urge to mark, and that’s got to go.

Fireplace
I snapped a picture of Reggie in front of the fireplace this evening. He’s so adorable!
Office Visit
This morning, I needed to drive to work, so I bundled up Reggie and took him to the new place. After I left the office at noon (I took a half day), I went back to check on him. He did really well. He pooped on the floor, but that’s because he’d already gone on his puppy pads.
After the cable guy left, I took him into the office so everybody could see him. He did really well. We went through the entire office without him marking his turf.
After that, went into the Polka Dog Bakery, and I picked up some awesome treats for him. Now we’re back at the new place waiting for traffic to die down a little before heading back to Providence.
